Ronald A. Spaziani Approaches Food as a Scientist and an Artist
Ronald Spaziani is a research chef who also manages his own catering company
TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON, NJ, September 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ronald A. Spaziani, Research Chef for Symrise and Owner of Miracle Catering, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in food science and culinary arts.
A gastronome through and through, Mr. Spaziani has regarded food from the contrasting perspectives of scientist and artist. Specializing in food research and culinary arts, he lends his talents to two different but complementary organizations: Symrise, a manufacturer of fragrances, flavorings, raw materials and active ingredients for the perfume, cosmetics and food industries; and Miracle Catering, his own catering company. As a research chef for the former, Mr. Spaziani develops flavor prototypes, experiments with the different culinary applications of flavors, and conducts training for members of the research staff.
It was after working in a restaurant for 18 years that Mr. Spaziani was inspired to explore the science of food. Though he is now deeply involved in the technical aspect of the food industry, he has not turned his back on his culinary roots; as the owner of Miracle Catering, he plays a hands-on role in running day-to-day operations, negotiating contracts, staffing events, and preparing dishes. Mr. Spaziani places emphasis on innovating his menus and keeping abreast of culinary trends — a forward-thinking approach that, mixed with strong familial support and a personal passion for food, has proven to be the special ingredient to his success.
Mr. Spaziani is pursuing a research chef certification from the Research Chefs Association. He received a Bachelor of Science in food and nutrition in 2006 from Montclair State University and an associate degree in culinary arts in 1994 from Hudson County Community College. In addition to industry-related qualifications, he holds a second-degree black belt in taekwondo. His affiliations include the American Culinary Federation, the Research Chef Association, and the Tae Kwon Do Federation of Korea. Mr. Spaziani looks forward to obtaining his research chef certification and continuing to expand his company Miracle Catering.
