The Barbed Rose Announces New Wine List and Wine Program
The Barbed Rose Steakhouse and Seafood Co. is unveiling a new wine list, greatly expanding its offerings of Texas wines.

ALVIN, TX, June 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alvin, TX - Building on its commitment to providing the highest quality dining experience for their patrons, The Barbed Rose Steakhouse and Seafood Co. is unveiling a new wine list, greatly expanding its offerings of Texas wines, along with a mix of small boutique wines and well-known labels from around the world. Bottles are value priced, starting at $24.

"Texas wines continue to improve and, as long as they meet our high standards and pair well with our menu, we're committed to supporting the local guys," says Jason Chaney, executive chef and partner for the Barbed Rose. The restaurant will feature a dozen or so Texas wines, including labels from Haak Winery, located in Santa Fe - 20 miles from the restaurant - as well as Llano Estacado Winery and Becker Vineyards. The wine list also showcases a mix of lesser known highly-rated boutique finds around the world, as well as well-recognized steakhouse staples such as Napa Valley's Silver Oak and Dominus.

Additionally, the restaurant is launching a new wine program, including:
• a "Wine Spotlight," highlighting different bottles every couple of weeks online at www.barbedrose.com, along with tasting notes, information about the wine, winemaker and vineyard and pairing suggestions. Wines in the spotlight will be offered at a 25 percent discount.
