DirectRooms.com reports that people with an appreciation for fine wine should head to Bordeaux in June to taste and experience the French region's dedicated festival of wine.

PHUKET, THAILAND, May 06, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- For four days of wine filled events between 24th and 27th June 2011, Bordeaux Wine Festival will be a celebration of wine from the region with ample opportunities to sample a variety of vintages. Visitors can expand their knowledge at the 'Vintage Grapes' exhibition which will explain how the grapes are grown and the cultivation techniques that are used in the production.

Vineyards will be allowing visitors into the grounds to see the growing methods and experts will be available to answer questions and guide people on the ways to identify a Bordeaux wine through its flavour.

Obviously wine tasting will be a prominent feature but attendees can also find plenty of world class French cuisine to go with it and for younger members the barrel races provide a lively alternative. Several floats are also going to be paraded through the city to add to the spectacle and this will be rounded off with a huge fireworks display on the banks of the river.
