    /Food - Beverage News Articles/ - Providence, RI, June 29, 2008, Sean O'Hara, MS, Executive Chef for Sodexo USA, has been recognized by the Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of food services.

Mr. O'Hara has 30 years of professional experience in food services. As executive chef for Sodexo USA, his expertise lies in management, all aspects of food services, menu planning, preparing soups, sauces, traditional American and European style cuisine, beverages and wine. Sodexo USA provides food and facilities management services to the United States, Canada and Mexico, serving 10 million customers in over 6,000 locations. Mr. O'Hara's responsibilities include overseeing production of all food, purchasing, preparing weekly statements, overseeing equipment procurement and supervising and training employees.

He attributes his success to his instructors who trained him and the professionalism that they instilled in him at a young age. Prior to working for Sodexo, he was an Associate Professor at Johnson & Wales University's College of Culinary Arts for 18 years. Mr. O'Hara's greatest accomplishment was the number of years that he worked for Meal's from the Masters, one of the largest fundraisers for Meals on Wheels in the country- he and his colleagues feed nearly 2,000 guests during the events.

Mr. O'Hara received his Master's Degree in Managerial Technology from Johnson & Wales University in 1993, a Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management and an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts, Cum Laude graduate. He holds a Wine & Spirits Education Trust Advanced and Intermediate Certification and is a certified mixologist, Master Trainer for the TiPS Program, Culinary Foundations Trainer from Sodexo University and is working towards his certified executive chef certificate. He is a member of the American Culinary Federation and is a manager of Food Service Sanitation. He received the Gastronomic Excellence Award from the Rhode Island House of Representatives, won awards at the Charlotte, New York and Boston food shows, as well as the Jury Award from Rich-SeaPak Seafood Competition.
